On August 29, 1929 a committed group of nine Ministers were appointed by the Northern Virginia Baptist Association to formulate a plan to organize a Minister’s Protection Alliance. This was accomplished by the committee and by the year 1933 an organization was established under the name, "The Pastor’s Conference.” On Thursday, August 24, 1933 our first president Rev. A.H.S. Johnson brought greetings to the Northern Virginia Baptist Association from the Pastor’s Conference.
Listed below are the founding fathers of the conference:

The first officers of the conference were:
During the formative years, the conference met in the Y.M.C.A building in Washington, D.C. This did not prove to be conducive, so the brethren sought a home in Virginia. The First Baptist Church, Rosslyn, VA was recommended and permission was granted. Thus the Conference began meeting on Virginia soil.
Over time, the Conference expanded its scope to include not only Pastors but also Ordained Clergy and later, Licensed and Duly Recognized Ministers. This expanded scope provides an opportunity for training, support and fellowship for all Baptist ministers who have been called to preach the Gospel.
As the organization grew, a more centrally located facility was sought. The new/current location was found at Second Baptist Church in Falls Church VA where Rev. Samuel Barnhart is the host pastor.
